Swings buckets and tools up to 180° left and right Helac Powertilt

Is manufactured by the HELAC CORPORATION in the USA. They have been designing and manufacturing their heavy duty rotary actuators for more than 15 years.

When fitted to our JB Quick Hitch Coupler they become a part of your equipment inventory that is hard to be without.

We have a size to fit your machine from 2 – 35 tonnes.

The Powertilt, mounted between the dipper stick and tool, hydraulically swings buckets and other attachments up to 67° to either side from centre. Powertilts dexterity means greater versatility and improved productivity from your backhoe or excavator and can angle any attachment.

Use the Powertilt for:

  • Ditch Cleaning
  • Side angled trenches.
  • Excavating under and around foundations, footpaths, underground pipes and cables etc.
  • Picking and moving rocks.
  • Positioning brush cutters, mowers, hammers, and compactors.
  • Saving time on countless everyday jobs by simply tilting your bucket instead of moving the entire machine.
  • Also save wear and tear on track gear.

PowerTilt's Operating Concept:

The PowerTilt is a simple, efficient mechanism that uses our exclusive sliding spline operating concept which converts linear piston motion into powerful rotation. Each PowerTilt is composed of a housing and only two moving parts: the central shaft with integrated bearings and the piston. Helical spline teeth machined on the shaft engage matching splines on the inside diameter of the annular piston. The outside diameter of the piston carries a second set of splines, of opposite hand, which engage with matching splines in the housing. As hydraulic pressure powers the piston back and forth within the housing - similar to the operation of a hydraulic cylinder - the splines cause the shaft to rotate. When the control valve is closed, oil is trapped inside the PowerTilt, preventing piston movement and locking the shaft in position.

The PowerTilt is a rugged attachment engineered for regular day-to-day use. All moving components are safely enclosed and protected by the steel housing. Because all spline teeth remain engaged at all times, exceptional strength and durability are achieved. Large, integrated thrust and radial bearings have the capacity to carry substantial loads. Zero-leakage seals throughout assure smooth operation and stable holding power. Tough exclusion seals keep out dirt, water and other contaminant.
